The processing of plant material is done by CAPE ESSENTIAL OIL SERVICES. This a joint venture between HERBS-APLENTY and four leading commercial farmers. The company runs two mobile extraction units that was build at a cost of just under R 2 million. The capacities of the units combined are 2.5 tons per hour.

At the helm of this company is general manager Fanie Pienaar. He was involved in the architectural industry and project management before he changed his focus to essential oils 8 years ago. His main interests in essential oils are the technical aspects around the distillation process and the optimisation of the total process.
